whoop-dee-doo

* currently listening & addicted to Micheal Jackson's songs...again

There were alot of great things that happened to me during this past one week. And I really really love that everything went according to what I wanted...well not all of it, but most of it.

It's amazing, it's wonderful, it's most of all stress relieving...

Things that happened since my last post:

#1 Presentations Skills presentation on Valentines Day is OVER!
(Tuesday morning)

#2 Economics presentation on the Gugusan Manjoi flash flood is OVER! (Wednesday morning)

#3 LION DANCE performance at TCPJ!!! How sweeter can it get? Well, it can and it did. Wahahhaa. (Wednesday afternoon)

After class, the rest of the gang tried to prevent me from going to see the performance, mean friends I have. Tsk tsk tsk. Thank god I have Karen! Hehe, anyways, i'm willing to ditch my mates just to watch the dance (i'm a total lion dance freak, wouldn't miss it for the world).

Anyways, Karen and I went to watch the lion dance performance at the valet parking outside. It was spectacular!!! Love love love love it to bits. After all my years of witnessing these kind of acrobatic performances, there was this one part in which i've never seen before! It was where the lion climbed up a very VERY tall pole (only the front part, the guy who poses as the ass was left down with the other dudes who had to support the pole upright), bit, chewed, and spat out the bundle of vegetable, then amazingly, the guy/lion balanced on his/its stomach and the pole was spun around a couple of times. Looked like a flying lion to me with it being all horizontal and all. Damnnnnn friggin cun. Ouch, imagine the guy's stomachlaa.

Moving on, after the performance, we reunited with the gang who was at the hawker stall there having an events team meeting. So we joined them. Little did we know, the whole gang of the lion dance team came few mins later!

Whoohooo! Double whammy baby!

So they performed right beside me, drums and all. What a day it was.

#4 Spent Valentines day with Audrey and Kerry in the early afternoons and Lee in the late afternoon till early morning the next day.
(Thursday, whole day)

Class ended at 11:45am, so then Audrey, Kerry, and I went over to pyramid. We watched Jumper since it was released on that day itself. My reviews on it would be that it's alright. Not as great as how I expected it to be. It's the kind of movie that's best to watch once, and not to be watched again. Hehe, sorry if i've offended any fans of jumper out there.

Well after the movie, Audrey went back home while I stayed with Kerry waiting for Shafiq and me waiting for Lee to come from the Hospital. When Lee came at 4 something and Kerry left when Shafiq came, I had spent the whole time onwards with Lee in Parade shopping for his shoe, which was really fast, since he knew where to go. We then straight headed to 1 Utama, reached at 6 something. We got tickets for "Dan in Real Life". Movie that is scheduled at 11:10pm since the 9 something one is for gold class. Nuts.

Anyways, in the meantime to kill ALOT of time on our hands, we both went to the arcade for fun and played a shooting game called House of the Dead and a few racing games. I think the shooting game was by far best! No regrets since I was hesitant about it. We hung around, ate dinner, hung around some more, Lee did some shopping. Gosh, its weird that when i'm in the shopping mall with guys, they're always the one who guys the stuff instead of the girls. Hahaha, weird. Looks like the table has turned. Well, I had a great great time spending it with him. It was lovely. Somehow, I wonder how we started hanging out as a group together with Ben and Sireesak. If it wasn't for it, we wouldn't be close at all. God works in strange ways. But i'm glad He did. If not, i wouldn't be with him now as it is.

When I reached home at about 1 something in the morning. I saw a huge bouquet of flowers with a bear in the center. Awww, hurryingly I grabbed it and went upstairs and opened the card. It was from him. He shouldn't have, but he did, and that's just so thoughtful of him. Spending time with him is better than anything in the world right now. Hope you're reading this, I only want you and your time. =)

#5 Done with the presentation slide templates for our proPassion company.
(Friday morning)

Urgh, I was cursed cursed and more cursed! I only received the duty to do the slide design templates on Tuesday night and the due date I had to fulfill was on a Friday before Project class which is at 1-3pm, so it can be presented then. So I tried doing it the next day. SAD TO SAY was that my computer totally screwed my up good. I did some stuff, BUT couldn't save. *dammit* So i went to the other computer with much frust in my body, heart, soul, mind whateverlah.

Unfortunately, the computer's graphic card was screwed up!! The computer screen was so bad and pixelated. ISH, so I decided I would do it the next day. Little did I know I was going to spend the whole day out, due to it being V-day and all. When I came back home, it was already 1:40am, I got myself all ready for bed, then went onto the computer. And the same situation happened again! But worse, once I tried dragging the picture into the illustrator, nothing showed up, like what gives man?!?!?! URGH, RAM memory low. Shit shit shit. So I gave up, was really tired from being out the whole day, and moreover it was 3 something in the morning on a Friday.

That's when I decided to skip Malaysian Studies class in the morning at 8am. Since I couldn't do my designs at home, I decided go to go college early to do my work there. So I set my alarm at 7am. Gosh, i was so tired that i turned it off and went back to sleep! Thought I would take like a few minutes nap, but being the smart ass that I am, I woke up 2 hours later!! Reached college 10 something, got it done at 12 something then rushed for lunch with the rest of the gang.

*phew*

All in all, the designs were accepted by everyone, no objections. Yeay! I did 3 different designs. One for the cover, topic and content. Mission completed!

#6 Tried to catch the Lion Dance in Parade with mum but missed it, only managed to catch the last part. Depressing. (Friday evening)

Mum and I rushed over to Parade to watch the Lion Dance performance. It was scheduled to be at 7pm. Hehe, my mom's not much of a fan like me, but she likes it nontheless. Supposed to go with Dad as well, but he was too tired. So it was just mum and I. We were actually late! Left the house at 6:55pm. But then, I had that hope that it'll start late, like a normal smart ass Malaysian. When we reached there, we thought we managed to be there in time since we saw the lion shaking his thang on the floor and havent gotten up on the poles yet. But...

*poof*

...my excitement went down to the pits of hell, when the music stopped. END. ARGHHH, only managed to catch like 2 minutes of the show. Damn damn damn. Oh well, there's always next time. One thing I need to note is the amazing punctuality of the performances at Parade. Now it has come to my senses that the performers are starting earlier if not on time. HHAHAHA, scary weih, what happened to our Malaysian culture? our way of life? Slowly deteriorating or is it that there was some sort of fine implemented onto them for lateness? No idea, but i'm liking it, and also not liking it, since i'm still stuck with the Malaysian way of life...being late.

#7 Had a great time at Sher Mayne's new house in Kota Kemuning together with Sher Mayne (of course), Prassan, Ju Lyrin, Sireesak, Lee, and Mayne's MOM!
(Friday late night)

It was great fun! Eventhough I was dead bored watching them gamble, since i don't like gambling...i tell you, they all gambled till 3 something in the morning. I was on the verge of dying by then. It was fun catching up with the rest of the gang. Soon at 5 something, we all slept while watching TV. But I was pretty much awake, only slept for a few minutes. Some more still had the energy to send them back home with the small amount of sleep I had. My back ached as hell. Was doing some funky stretching when I woke up.

Anyways, we all left Mayne's place at 9 something in the morning. Going to miss Prassan already. Funny dude, never had a dull moment with him around. *grins*

#8 Went for dinner at relative's house in KL. (Saturday night)

I had a nice time having dinner there, the nice japanese lady was there again. She attended last year's gathering. Nice to see her again after a year. Hehehe, my cousin invited her along, i think she's her Japanese teacher or something. Well, we communicated abit during dinner time. Damn cutelah, she kept saying "oiishi...oiishii"

#9 Watched the "24 Seasons Drum Performance" with mum at Subang Parade.
(Sunday afternoon)

Beautiful

Spectacular performance

Lastly, to end this post. Pictures of Chloe afraid of the rain! Awww... poor thing

Always go to the back room and snuggles up on the sofa. Eventhough she's forbidden to do so, but she's one stubborn girl.

Haih, she's being all emo on the rain now...

Cupid, God of Love

Recently i've been doing some research on Valentines Day as part of my presentation topic. And I came across this intriguing story that I find quite adorable, especially the last part. The original can be read here.

The History and Meaning of Cupid, God of Love

While not a real person, Cupid was the God of Love to ancient Romans, and many Italians believed in his powers. Even in the modern world, references to Cupid and his bow and arrows of love are found everywhere on Valentine’s Day.

Cupid was not initially the cherubic, happy little angel that we think of today. In his original incarnation, he was a very mischievous, sometimes dark god of love and desire who enjoyed matching 'odd couples' and seeing how they worked out.

Cupid eventually fell under his own spell of odd matches. He fell in love with Psyche, a mortal. In the Greek language, Psyche means "butterfly" and also means "soul". In many ways, what Psyche goes through is symbolic of the path of each woman’s soul in life.

Cupid had actually been sent by his mother, Venus, to punish Psyche for her beauty. Instead, he was captivated by her. He arranged to have her brought to his mountain home to live with him, but he hid his identity from her, only visiting her at night. Their time together was so tender and full of gentle talk that Psyche fell in love with Cupid, without ever seeing him.

Psyche’s jealous sisters were angered by her wealth and love, and convinced Psyche that her lover must be a monster to so hide himself. The sisters persuaded her to sneak up on him after he left her one evening, armed with a knife. He awoke and saw her there, and said sadly, "I inflict no other punishment on you than to leave you forever. Love cannot dwell with suspicion."

Psyche realized how foolish she’d been, and decided the only way to be with Cupid again was to go talk to Venus and ask for her blessing. Venus was delighted at having Psyche kneeling down before her, and set forth many tasks for Psyche to perform to prove her worthiness. Each task was more than Psyche thought she could manage, but in each case a God stepped in to assist her. Finally Psyche and Cupid were allowed to be married. They were very happy together, and had a child, named Pleasure. (awww)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY everyone!

Love love love yall!

Funny Quote of the Day

Lee and I were at Benta Kaya having a drink and there was a lovely row of bamboo plants just beside us. All hell broke loose when I said...

*taps on the bamboo sticks*

"Ya know what, I'd like to have these baboons ..... HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAH!!!..."

What I wanted to say: "Ya know what, I'd like to have these bamboos in my garden"

Haiyamaaaa... Lee laughed along but soon said "I don't want to talk yo you anymore weih..." when I was laughing for like what lasted for 5 minutes nonstop and the occasional giggling to myself bit. Damn funnylaaaa.

I've heard that line many times from Kerry...and she's still talking to me! *yeay*

No one can escape the Sweei charm. =P

~tralalalalaa~

Hello world!

Yesterday I had a great time out. Was practically out the whole entire day!

Fantastico!

Kerry, Shafiq, Karen and I went over to Essence to pick up our pay cheque and on behalf of Denise's and Audrey's.

SWEET!

Shafiq, on the other hand was there to tryout the baby costume for the World Contraceptive Day roadshow which will be happening on the *censored* and *censored* at *censored*. Wait a minute, am i allowed to blog about this? Arh, who gives a damn, not my problem now is it? (Kerry, shh, don't tell him that I blogged about it, least I didn't give away the date and venue =P)

Wokay, conclusion is : MUST...BRING...CAMERA (make sure to bring extra batteries)

After out collecting our fantastically low amount of "moolaaa", we went over to 1 Utama to chillout and for Karen to buy a present. Quite cun really her gift. Costs a bomb too. Hahahaha. The we went to eat at a nice little quaint Japanese restaurant. I ate the ramen there and boy was the soup salty. hmmm, but it was oklaaa.

Anwyays, while I was in 1 Utama, I was msging Benita. Only later to find out that she too was in 1 U with her own posy of mates. Pure coincidence. So when my mates and I were done trying on clothes for fun I departed with them and met up with Ben and her mates at Nandos. Chilled out with them for a while then Bena and I were on our own to find a present for our dear mate Kish who will be leaving on the 10th of Feb.

So fralalalalala we went walking up and down, left and right, to so many nice and lame shops. Arghh, hard man. Our feet ached so bad. Moreover, we were so late! Late because we had set up a gathering at 6pm at SS15, Souk. Dammit, Kish was waiting for us at McDs already and we were still finding some nice presents for him. We're so screwed......

When we've finally settled with the presents, yes, there is an "S" there. We got him 2 stuff and Joyce is also chipping in on it since she doesn't have the time to go out. So tralalalala, we walked super fast because we were BLOODY FRIGGIN LATE! We we're pratically chanting in our heads, "omg omg omg, kish is so going to kill us, we're so gonna die, we're so screwed!!!"

Seems like God was against us or something, because at every traffic light, it just hadddd to magically turn red when we're getting near. Sheesh. Add more stress into our already stressed minds. Kish occasionally mged Ben, like "Ben?" Then i called Kish to inform him that we're in Subang already, but my heart was so saddened when he had this really upset monotonous tone in his voice when he spoke. ARGHHH, add more stress AND extreme guilt.

We hurried over to pick up Joyce at her place, then sped off to McDs. By then it was already 8:40pm, we Ben and I chanted "omg, omg, we're so dead, we're so dead". Imagine waiting at McDs for more than an hour and a half, and he was having a horrid fever (didn't know he was sick).

But thankfully, he was happy and all cheerie and all kishy as the 1st 5 minutes past by or something. PRAISE THE LORD!

We went over to Souk for dinner and then to AC for a game of pool. Ben so rocked the house with her skills. Hahaha, I on the other hand, sucked to the pits of hell. Oh well, i still enjoyed playing it. *grins*

We then lepaked at AC, took loads of pictures at the carpark, then gave Kish his farewell present. So can't wait to see him again this Wednesday with Audrey. Should be F-U-N!

Here's to the memorable moments:

In the car, before playing pool

In the carpark, before leaving kish.

Hope you enjoyed looking through those weird pictures *grins*

Anyways, on another different note, for ou
r Project Subject this semester we would have to do 2 things.

1. Come up with a student's events consultancy company. Which will officially be under Taylor's. Awesome huh? We're the 1st bunch to do this, so whatever name, logo, mission and vision, everything about our company will be car
ried forth in the years to come. Future students will be conducting their final semester projects under this company. Can't get any sweeter than this...or can it?
2. We would have to come up with 2 events for ***. Not sure whether I am able to expose this information. Oh well, no worries, in time you'll know.

Kerry came up with the name "proPassi
on" for our company. I'm come to love the name, think it's really creatively put. So in the end, it is called...

"proPassion Events: a Taylor's student consultancy"

Then it's up to the creative team to come up with a few logo designs for our company to be decided by the class on which best suits the company's image. Included into the presentation were Audrey's, Kerry's, Nessa's and my design. Overall, I was pretty excited about this as I really wanted my logo to be a part of this. Imagine seeing your logo up somewhere that is being seen by the public. Utter cunness.

*jeng jeng jeng* guess what?

Out of all the logos that were there, mine was what the mojority of them preferred! I was extremely excited! Unexplainable. The thing that I suppose got to them was the 3 waves. Gosh, i swear, if i hadn't had put that, then this would surely be discarded just like *snap*.

The original logo

But then I had to tweak it to fit according to their preference. Thus, it has evolved into what will become the official logo. This...

Is it better?

Well, I think the original better. Oh well, whats one vote against the rest?

Anyways, I'm still HAPPY! whoohoo!!

Funny quote of the week: "my slippery so damn slipper"
Well, you know what I mean. I said this to my sis when I slipped slightly to the front on a rainy day *grins*
Think in advance yall!
